When I was about 8 years old, a curious child growing up in a farm town in the hills of Clarendon, Jamaica, I would gaze at the airplanes flying overhead and long to be there. As I entered my teen and young adult years the desire to travel became a driving force and I vowed to visit 10 countries by the time I turned 25. Here I am 33 countries and counting. After marrying my soulmate, we travelled together to 30 of those countries.  Then tragedy struck! My amazing man discovered a rare brain tumor which sent us hurtling around the US to visit with specialists.  The prognosis was grim.  After a surgery that went wrong in over a dozen ways my love ended up with a severe brain injury, quadriplegic and almost vegetative.

Fast forward 7 years and tons of faith, friends and family, my honey is now walking with a walker and back to his erudite and comical self! His love for travel has returned and together we have cruised, RVed, road-tripped and flown hundreds of miles across the US and the Caribbean.

​

With walker, scooter, wheelchair or other assistive device in tow, we have planned, purchased insurance, packed and become experts at accessible travel.  During the 7 years of recovery, we moved to Conroe to be closer to therapy. There we fell in love with what is now our famous home on the Lake which we named "A Peaceable Kingdom" after hubby's favorite choral piece. We then fell in love with a gorgeous townhome in Columbus Heights, Ocho Rios and together with our band of cohosts and others, we focus on unforgettable stays and safe, rejuvenating experiences.
